HaH Site Redesign
New Site UI and Marketing Graphics
Ages 4-12
As designer, I collaborated with editorial, marketing, and web teams to create site UI, banners, and other graphics for new Home and Theme page interfaces and other online marketing needs.
H@H launched rapidly, in response to the stay-at-home orders of the COVID-19 pandemic. As weeks turned into months, families continued to rely on H@H content releases to fill in the gaps created by the excessive amounts of downtime. Between new work from home and virtual school schedules , and the need to reinvigorate family time, Highlights met families’ needs week after week with inspiring, themed content packs.
The initial blog platform presented challenges for content delivery and UX, as well as failing to support marketing and brand initiatives. Designs for this project required flexibility to support the retro-fitting of previously released themes, while meeting the company’s goals to improve content accessibility and drive traffic to marketing and branding initiatives.
Theme Banner Design
Banner Template- Desktop and Mobile Examples
My objective was to create a branded, flexible banner template to carry each new theme page. With more than 20 weeks of content collections already released, this template needed to support existing themes, and showcase both existing illustration and stock photography.
Design Phase- Banner Concepts Presented to Client

Calls to Action- We created four different “Share” graphics to drive user generated content.
Home Page Banner Concepts
Three Home banner concepts were presented to the client. We ultimately decided to lead with a stand alone logo on the homepage, hoping to drive visitors directly into content themes.
